Add Shape Key Driver

Shape key need driver for facilitate the animator. It will be helpfull like shape rig help replace rig visualization. You just need to move the driver for animate the parameter of shape key. A few day's ago my friend asking me how to create driver for shape key. I've written tutorial about blender shape key driver with Bahasa and now, i want to write it into english.

I am using simple object for this shape key driver tutorial, i just use cube on this tutorial. The cube will be transform to pyramid. There is tutorial step by step how to add driver shape key on blender 2.6. I am using Blender 2.63 for this tutorial. Let start the tutorial

You need to adding one cube and add two shape key into the cube. For example, i adding two shape key. They are Basis and Triangle. Basis for default cube and Triangle for pyramid shape.

Walkcycle Tutorial Blender 2.6

Walkcycle is basic of animation like bounce ball, but it's little more complicated. I think animator must know how to make it. It's is simple but complicated. This material available in each animation lesson, wether 2D or 3D. If you want to learn this step on 3D software like Blender, you must have a rigged character with constraint or just armature with the constraint.

Constraint will be help us to animate the character, because not all bone in character must be driven by animator. Animator just need to drive the controller and another bone will be influenced by the controller. It's will be helpfull :)

Overheat Processor Solution

A few day's ago, my laptop alwayas stop working and shutting down automatically when try doing something spent processor process. I don't know why, i don't think it was because my Operating System called Ubuntu. Because with another Operating System on my Laptop called Linux Mint,  i have the same problem. So, i can't do many work what i've scheduled.

My first hypotesis is overheat on processor.  Because when i opened the HDD case the laptop not shutting down, but with the longer time the laptop autmatically shutting down / halt. So i bought cooling pad with Votre brand but it's make my laptop cooled than before. But i still found that my laptop shutting down autmatically. So i think it's not working.

Link Character Using Proxy Blender 2.6

I just trying research some feature what i need on my project with MMBAnimation Community. I have tried linking object feature. When i link many object, they are work propely, but when i tried link the character object with rig, i can't go to pose mode to animate the character using rig. I just can move character based object mode like grab (G), rotate (R), scale (S).

So i decided download character pack by vmcomix on blendswap. You can download and use it for FREE. You just need register on blendswap to download it. Let's try the character called Porl from the character pack. 

I just trying using character pack, but i still having same problem. The solution from the problem just adding proxy to the character rig. Proxy make duplicate of rig, so you can move character using rig with proxy rig.  If you still confuse, let's try this step to practice.
